Congratulations!
A renewal of vows is a celebration of your love for each other and a public declaration of your wish to continue to live with each other in a committed relationship.
Perhaps you were married overseas, and your family and friends couldn’t attend the original wedding, maybe you eloped, or have been married for many years and now wish to renew your vows, renew your energy in life and your love for each other.
Whatever your reason, a vow renewal is a wonderful way of including family and friends and sharing your love of each other with them.
Now it’s time to look at everything you need to do to make your day really special.
My role as your Celebrant is to make sure all your needs are met.
What happens now?
During this initial contact, we will determine if I am available for the day and time you have selected for your ceremony, and we will set a time for our first meeting.
I will follow up with an email confirming our meeting time and place.
At our first meeting, we will discuss your expectations for your ceremony and your specific requirements.
This meeting also gives us an opportunity to get to know each other better and decide if I am the right celebrant for you.
Once you confirm I am to be your celebrant, I will give you an invoice for the non-refundable booking fee, which is payable immediately (see Fees page) and secures the date and time we have agreed for your ceremony.
We will create the first draft of your ceremony during our meeting, encompassing the words and vows you want, along with any symbolic gestures (e.g., releasing doves, etc.).
We will also discuss your requirements for music, readings, ring ceremony, and the order of the ceremony.
We will keep in touch by email and phone and have another face to face meeting if required.
After our meeting, I will prepare a ceremony document for you, taking into account everything we have discussed.
I will email/post this document to you, and we can adjust and edit the ceremony until you are happy that it meets your requirements.
A rehearsal at the venue (or an alternate location) can be arranged if required.
At least two weeks prior to your ceremony date, the balance of my fees must be paid in full.
I will arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. I will be dressed to fit in with your ceremony’s style (as discussed with you). I will professionally conduct your vow renewal ceremony.
I will provide you with a bound copy of your vow renewal ceremony as a keepsake, and a commemorative vow renewal certificate.
